|
Welcome to ARMS in 2008! Take a look at our Mission Statement
for this year, outlining the things we hope to achieve and the services
we will be offering to our members and the wider community.
ARMS Mission Statement
- Increase the involvement of all members in the day-to-day
functioning of ARMS, as well as at events organised by ARMS.
This includes encouraging members to attend general meetings, suggest
ideas for events and be involved in the organisational aspects of
events.
- Strengthen relationships with other Rural Health Clubs and student
associations, to share ideas, knowledge, resources and enthusiasm.
This includes continuing to build connections with CRANC, Jabal and
ReconciliACT.
- Serve the local community by promoting access to health care services and awareness of the components of a healthy lifestyle.
- Provide members with opportunities to learn about the health issues facing rural communities and doctors.
- Provide members with opportunities to learn and practice clinical skills.
- Build relationships with rural doctors in the rural regions surrounding Canberra.
- Maintain connection with members on long term Rural Stream and
short term Rural Placements in Year 3 and 4, and alumni of the ANU
Medical School.
